Thirty-one Inspired Teachers have been selected from Central Universities across the country to stay at Rashtrapati Bhavan for a period of seven days from June 6 to 12, 2015 as part of an ‘In Residence’ programme.
The In-Residence programme for Inspired Teacherswas announced by the President of India at the annual Conference of Vice Chancellors of Central Universities on February 5, 2015. Similar programmes already exist for writers, artists, grass root innovators and NIT students.
The Inspired Teachers, during their stay at Rashtrapati Bhavan, will interact with Union Minister of Human Resource Development, Minister of State for Urban Development, Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog, Chairman of UGC and visit Universities like KR Mangalam University, GD Goenka University, Amity University and Shiv Nadar University. They will also have interactive workshops with Education Wings of Intel, Microsoft, IBM, FICCI, CII and ASSOCHAM at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
